The plan will provide the breakdown of the strategic objective mission goals to enforce. The strategic plan will address the following objectives: The mission and vision statements, a review of the short- and long-term goals to achieve, and in summary will discuss the points of the strategic plan of interest accomplishments. Each team member is assigned an objective and will be the point of contact for further details. This presentation supports the Supermax inmates who need lifesaving services in support of improving living standards. The inmates are subject to severe punishment via long extended isolation hours due to extreme violent offender criminal history profiles. The inmates are confined in a high-risk security prison facility. The team recommends the inmates get a chance to vent their built-up confinement stress via a few examples such as fewer confinement hours, improved health services with various past due needed updated educational and mental health counseling services. Furthermore, it will provide life skills education to the inmates. The strategic plan will identify the needed data collection and analysis obtained to support the strategic plan objective. The team will assess the information and filter via collaboration to determine internal stakeholders and external stakeholders roles. One of the strategic goals to implement is to give the inmates an improved and stable way of living via long-term jail commitment. One of the strategic plans long-term goals will benefit the facility with additional advanced critical thinking training for the staff to understand mental awareness and assess the inmates mental state of mind. This will conclude the introductions strategic objectives; let us review the mission statement. Mission To provide a secure environment to those in need of reform and rehabilitation in suggested treatment. In addition to providing a standard of stability for those who cannot offer this for themselves, utilizing our teams support to deliver this mission daily to those we provide care and security for as one. Vision The Supermax will be the model of an innovative, corrections, community-oriented federal correctional department. The Supermax will be committed to excellence and professionalism in delivering maximum security services to both staff and inmates. The core responsibility is to correct the incorrigible, rehabilitate the wrenched, restrain the dangerous, and punish the wicked. This can be through the custodial, rehabilitation, or reintegration model. Use of current and developing technology, the Supermax will be committed to research and innovation. Technology will enhance the highly skilled workforce in monitoring, supervision, and controlling inmates. Supermax will recognize all staff and partners values and ethics, from professional staff and sworn federal correctional officers to the many members who volunteer to achieve the mission. The Supermax will continue striving to develop members skills and efficiently and effectively manage the resources to deliver the publics highest level of services. Short-term Goals The short-term organizational goals for the Superman Prison include focusing on developing strategies for mental health treatment for prisoners instead of placing inmates in solitary confinement. Inmates need more direct involvement in their issues. Solitary confinement is not always the answer. One of the organizations main goals is to implement a program that focuses on improving the inmates mental illness. Our organization will provide counseling for inmates with mental illnesses. In addition to counseling for inmates, we will also offer classes to new inmates to teach them how to adapt to prison life. Furthermore, ADX supermax prison would also like to implement a plan to build an outdoor and indoor area for the inmates, including ping pong, basketball, karaoke, running activities, religious services, learning p
rograms, and other essential activities. The goal is to focus on a less stressful environment for the inmates. Another one of our short-term organizational goals is to decrease the twenty-three-hour lockdown for inmates that demonstrate good behavior and make good decisions. These inmates will be able to use two hours of twenty-four hours to enjoy essential activities. One of our short-term organizational goals is to limit solitary confinement for non-violent inmates. We will focus on providing a civilized living environment for our inmates. Long Term Goals ADX supermax prisons primary goal is to ensure that the prison becomes safer for the inhabitants and the personnel employed. To create a safer environment, there will be better healthcare for physical and psychological needs. ADX will also implement new and additional training for all staff, including critical thinking, emergency response, and problem-solving. Providing adequate healthcare, including phycological treatment, is a vital aspect of the prisons long-term goals. Many individuals in ADX prison are not getting the substantial help needed, but instead, they are in solitary confinement 23 hours per day. The agencys goal is to try to rehabilitate prisoners and provide adequate therapy or medications as needed. With more treatment available, it would decrease violence and harm against staff or other prisoners. The facility will be hiring additional supports for healthcare-related treatment, including more nurses, doctors, therapists, religious personnel, and additional support staff to increase prisoners functioning and limit symptoms of mental health disorders. The short-term goals of the prison are in place to prepare for the long-term goals. After implementing new programs to aid in mental illness treatment, new staff and follow-up appointments will ensure that inmates receive the necessary help. Critical thinking, emergency response, and problem-solving training for staff will assist in safety by providing the employees are all sufficiently trained in how to respond to an incident. ADX Prison needs to employ prepared individuals for the worst and how to react appropriately in the situation. With further training, staff will be unhesitant and respond in a swift but calm manner (Baumgardner, 2011). The objectives for the strategic plan ADX Supermax hopes to implement programs that focus on improving the mental health of inmates in place of solitary confinement, in addition to counseling services. Additionally, ADX hopes to develop recreation areas, both indoor and outdoor, to partake in sports, religious activities, learning programs, and other essential activities. Lastly, ADX hopes to provide training for all staff to ensure that our objectives are met safely and efficiently. Methods for Data Collection Many different types of data collection and analysis can be used, such as surveys that can be completed anonymously and be administered in large groups, which cuts down on the cost of collecting and analyzing data once the group being surveyed is done. There is the method of interviewing individuals, which can be more in-depth because it sometimes is one-on-one. It builds rapport with the participant, which sometimes creates the participants willingness to give more information than they originally had. The connection goes a long way with getting information, and when individuals have rapport, they are more willing to share what is going on or help with the knowledge they may have (CDC, 2020). One of the other different types of data collection and analysis is observation. Staff can monitor the program, or the data needed to be collected as it is gone over and analyzed. This type of collection is done as it is watched by those needing the data but can be more time-consuming than the other collection methods. The final method of data collection and analysis to go over is that of document review. Document review is like researching homework; you review information previously existing to complete your communication topic.
