In order to analyze the data to answer your evaluation questions, you will need to collect the data and store the data in a databaseThis week you will be creating a database in SPSS to store the data from the measures that were selected in week 4. Discuss the following issues that need to be considered when setting up the database for data entry:
1. What are the scales of measurement of the items on the measures?
2. Are there any reverse-scored items that need to be rescored before data can be analyzed?
3. Are there any subscales or total scores that need to be calculated?
4. How can the variables in the database be labeled to best identify the correct items and avoid future errors?
5. How can errors in data entry be avoided or caught to ensure valid results?

week 4 post
Who are the participants that will be evaluated
The groups of participants that will be evaluating are the teenage girls with mental health problems within the Henry Group Home setting.
Who are the staff who will administering the evaluations?
Within the Henry House Group Home, the psychiatrists are the personnel that will evaluate the adolescents with mental issues. In addition, these practitioners will provide additional care services to the participants.
How many participants will be evaluated?
There will be an evaluation of every individual separately from the rest of the group participants. The main aims are to evaluate young girls behavioral concerns, establish access to mental health resources, and provide appropriate medical treatment.
What is the assessment schedule? (In other words, how often/when will the participants be evaluated?)
Participants assessment appears to occur every intake, 3 months and discharge
What is the evidence of the instruments validity?
According to Je
bb et al. (2021), Likert scales are usually valid since they efficiently measure unobservable constructs. In addition, various studies were carried out in the past that support their development and use since they are easy to understand and use tools.
What is the evidence of the instruments reliability?
However, the scales are not reliable for several reasons. The first main reason is that the measure lacks a zero which is a severe barrier to data analysis (Louangrath & Sutanapong, 2018). In addition, researchers use of one as the lowest value in the scale makes it challenging to obtain the true mean, and therefore there is the performance of Type 1 error. Due to these weaknesses, it is possible to consider the non-Likert scales to be more effective in evaluating. According to Alan & Kabasakal (2020), f the tool continues to receive various adjustments to make it more accurate, it might be effective in the modern mental health evaluation.
What is the cost of the instruments? Can your agency afford to pay for instruments? Are there alternatives in the public domain that would work?
Likert scales are often inexpensive tools below $ 20 that agencies like mine can easily purchase or create for themselves. In addition, there can be the use of slider scales in place of the Likert scales in public domains.
