On
Tuesday, you will WRITE A ROUGH DRAFT of the FINAL WRITTEN ASSESSMENT. It is a
PERSONAL REFLECTION of how you satisfactorily achieved each of the FIVE
COMPETENCIES (objectives, goals, requirements) of ENC 1101. Make sure to follow
the college writing tips, use appropriate college vocabulary, grammar,
spelling, and mechanics. Your grade will also be based on your ability to
ORGANIZE THE REFLECTION TO DEMONSTRATE UNDERSTANDING OF MAIN IDEA, SUPPORTING
DETAILS, AND CONCLUSION. Your supporting details MUST BE SPECIFIC AND CONTAIN
EXAMPLES OF WHAT YOU DID TO LEARN AND PRACTICE THE SKILLS AND CONCEPTS COVERED
IN ENC 1101.
Your reflection is a discussion post or long paragraph with the main idea,
supporting details with thorough examples/discussion, and a concluding
sentence. Your reflection should be about 12-18 sentences long.
ENC 1101 has five competencies that students need to meet at a satisfactory
level (see the handout/syllabus).
Reflect on the writing assignments, skills, and concepts covered in this
course. Using your experiences this semester in ENC 1101, give examples for
EACH competency to show how you were able to complete the competencies. Use
SPECIFIC examples from the discussions, readings, activities, assignments,
skills, and concepts covered. You will use the examples for each competency to
write how you have satisfactorily accomplished the goals of this class.
You must name the competency and then explain what you did in the course to
demonstrate achievement and completion of each competency. Your explanation
must give examples from your personal experiences in this class. Use Google
Classroom Stream and a list of assignments to refresh your memory.
IMPORTANT TIPS:
Since it is a PERSONAL reflection, use first-person in describing your
experiences. *THE PRONOUN I IS ALWAYS CAPITALIZED! DO NOT USE LOWER CASE.
