Identifying a current and important issue that is catching global medias attention. I do not want to lock your thoughts in a box. That is why i prefer not giving too many examples. It can be an international issue about war, conflicts, migration, pandemic, travel, change of political system in a controversial nation-state, and/or etc. These are the potential subjects that you can think of when looking for that specific issue for your paper.
Please be very specific about what that news, event, or issue is when you write the paper. You need to explain what happened, who were involved, why is it important for us to understand it, how major news networks or media outlets reported it, and please provide your in-depth analysis of that issue in connection to the concepts and/or ideas you have read and learned from the textbook.
I must see you draw on the concepts/ideas from the book when reading your paper.
Please focus on analyzing this issue, not describing it. Yes, you do need to first identify the issue in your paper. But this part must be short, no more than 1 page. I want you to focus on examining this issue based on our class. The analysis part should be no less than 3 pages. By 3 pages, I mean it has to be exactly at least 3 pages, not 2 pages and a half, or 2 pages and a little
over to the third page.
You are welcome to write as long and many pages as you want. But overall, your paper needs to be at least 4 pages long. By 4 pages, I mean it needs to be exactly 4 pages long, not 3 pages and a half, or 3 pages and a little over to the 4th page.
Please include a title page and a reference page.
In your title page, please write down your name and your papers title. I only need to see these two information. Please do NOT include other information in your title page. For your reference page, you need to list all the sources that you used to write the paper in academic reference style. You can list them in APA format, Chicago style, or MLA.
FYI: In the past I have had many students who wrote their names, my name, and papers titles in their actual paper. Please do NOT do that in our final paper. I do not want those types of information to take up too much space in your paper. For information such as your name and this papers title, I only need to see them in the title page. You do not need to write my name in the title page or your paper.
Just to be clear: your title page and reference page are not part of the 4 pages minimum requirement for the final paper.
Please write in 12 fonts, Times New Roman format. You can either single-space or double-space your paper.
