Prompt: How have the texts in this unit changed or reinforced your perspective about the relationship between people and the environment?
You’re going to read two short stories and then answer the prompt. (I numbered the pages just incase they aren’t uploaded in order)

Texts in this unit reinforced my perspective about the relationship between people and the environment because people are extremely harmful to the environment and have very selfish intentions towards it.

”When I was dumping the heavy bottoms in the canal, I saw a bird fly into the fumes and fall instantly into the water.”
This reinforced my perspective on how detrimental power plants are to the environment. I was also was reinforced on the importance of environmental hero’s when Lee Sherman exposed the company for the harm being caused to the bayou.
