Take two opposing side articles and write rhetorical analysis on the issue talked about in them I could use a 500 word draft by 11:20 but the paper isn;t due for 3 days
These are the instructions for the assignment
1) The introduction should overview the issue, presenting the issues multiple perspectives. It should also state the papers purpose and provide framing for the rest of the documentWhat will the essay discuss? In what order? Where will reader-users go?
*Please keep in mind that while the essay is anchored around an issue, the focus is on your analysis of artifacts, not in explaining or describing the issue.
2) Drawing from your rhetorical situation maps, the body of the essay should discuss the artifacts and their respective rhetorical situations. Youll need to discuss:
The speakers/writers (e.g. Who are they? How do they establish their ethos? What do they typically write about? Where does their work typically appear?)
Reader-users/audiences. Be specific here. An audience of everyone is an audience of no oneand, yes, that includes the general public.
Exigences/purposes (e.g. What is the artifacts main purpose? Is this purpose clearly stated?)
Contexts (e.g. In what medium are the artifacts published? Why does that matter? Is the artifact older? If so, how does historical context impact the artifact?)
Constraints (e.g. What limiting factors e
xist? These factors might include, but are not limited to, connecting to an audience, availability of information.
Rhetorical Choices (e.g. How do the writers/speakers support their arguments? From what sources do they draw data and/or support?)
Additionally, include a discussion about the ways the artifactsand any other appropriate sourcesapply rhetorical appeals (ethos, logos, and pathos). Consider headings and sub-headings that help guide readers through your essay.
3) The conclusion should include major takeaways you want readers to know about the issue and the ways the artifacts represent rhetorical elements. You can indicate which perspective you believe makes a stronger argument, given the rhetorical analysis youve conducted, but please keep in mind that you are not arguing a position for or against the issue.
4) The essay should be written in a clear, concise, and cohesive manner that does not read as if its simply addressing the assignment prompts. Instead, consider your voice as a writer and how to present the research youve conducted about a science, technology, or health issue to an audience interested in learning about how perspectives regarding the issue are presented.
These are the two artifacts i have already.
